A versatile artist, painter, muralist, printmaker, and theatre designer, she drew inspiration from Surrealism and the landscapes of Greece, Ireland, and Spain. Born in Bangkok, she later studied in London, winning a scholarship to Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting. Her career included early recognition at the Royal Academy, a mural commission for Great Ormond Street Hospital, and teaching during WWII. Boyle exhibited widely, earning praise for her striking use of light and colour. Settling in Ireland, she produced the celebrated Sweeny Series. Her work is held in collections across Ireland, including the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery.
