Belinda Salmon Harding – ‘The Himalayas’ Painting
Belinda Salmon Harding trained as an artist at Byam School of Art (London) in the 1950s, moving to work in a private studio in Paris soon afterwards. Her work has moved frequently between fine art painting and glass sculpture. Her paintings are largely expressive landscapes (like this typically Cezanne-esque artwork), exploring light and shade through rough textures and brushwork. Her appealing artworks have been exhibited widely at exhibitions including Ben Uri Gallery, London Boundary Gallery, London British Glass Biennale, Edinburgh International Festival, London Institute of Contemporary Arts, London Mall Galleries, Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, London Royal Society of Portrait Painters and Young Contemporaries Open Show, ICA, London
