As a self-taught artist, I gain inspiration from my upbringing, nature, and everyday life and I use the enjoyable aspects of life’s journeys to create contemporary visual art.
I have participated in group installation exhibitions in London and had a solo exhibition at Ort Gallery, in Birmingham. Following these achievements, I have expanded my creative talents to focus more on paintings and mixed media. This has enabled me to diversify and use greater skill to create more abstract work using a range of techniques, including digital images and collages, to achieve depth in my artwork which develops further interest and intrigue.
I use traditional print techniques gaining an organic flow to my work. My Rainfall series is inspired by water. In 2019, I started work with oil paints and humbling collaborations.
In 2021-22, I undertook an Arts Council England-funded project called Origins, which explored what impact the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games had on community sports groups in the West Midlands
