Nikias Skapinakis comes from a Greek family but was born in Lisbon in 1931. He has had several exhibitions in Portugal and abroad. As well as making prints, such as this colourful silkscreen, he is well known for his oil paintings and illustrations for books. The title of this work translates as “In the heart of the country side”.
