Born in Suffolk in 1955, daughter of the painter, Mary Newcomb, Tessa studied at Norwich School of Art, Bath Academy of Art and then specialised in printmaking at Wimbledon School of Art. Her work usually features the Suffolk countryside but she has also received commissions for illustrating book jackets. She is represented in several public collections including Bradford Metropolitan Museum and the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester.
